Hello,

This message only concerns users of NCO.

NCO is a suite of tools that are used for analysis of CCM input and output history files.
They do general operations on netCDF files, and are often used in conjuction with
ccm2nc to analyze CCM output or create new input files for the CCM.

There is a new NCO, nco-1.1.25, available from
http://www.cgd.ucar.edu/cms/nco

This version fixes a bug with ncra and ncrcat which could, under
some unusual circumstances, cause the last record of a coordinate
variable to be omitted from the output file (ncrcat) or not included
in the average (ncra). Therefore I recommend all users of these
operators to upgrade to the new version.

This version also includes a new feature: alphabetization of output in
ncks. Changelog summary appears below.

NCAR users only: Binaries have been upgraded on the usual machines---
CGD network (Solaris 2.6): /contrib/bin
CGD/SCD Winterpark (IRIX 6.2): /contrib/bin
SCD Ouray (UNICOS 10.0.0): /home/ouray0/zender/bin/CRAY
SCD Ute (IRIX 6.5): /fs/cgd/home0/zender/bin/SGI64
ACD garcia.acd.ucar.edu (Digital OSF1): /usr/local/bin

Changes in nco-1.1.25

* Fixed bug where ncrcat and ncra omitted the last slice of the record dimension when -F (Fortran indexing) was user-specified AND user-specified hyperslab information was provided for some dimensions BUT not for the record dimension. This bug only affected ncrcat and ncra and only under these conditions. Thanks to John Sheldon * Added -a switch to ncks for alphabetizing the output list.
