Yes, you are correct, the patch we provided is for the latest model
release the version of CCM3.6.6 that works with netCDF output and on the IBM
(answers are identical to the earlier release of CCM3.6.6). At this time we
do not have plans to provide a patch for the earlier release of CCM3.6.6.
Unfortunately the patch to CCM3.10.11 can not be directly applied to the
CCM3.6.6 code. However, most likely the same issues apply and a similar
change in the CCM3.10.11_phys366 branch code could be applied to the CCM3.6.6
code. At this time we are not planning on providing such a patch ourselves. In
general we provide our support only to the very latest model releases. With
limited staff we are unable to provide support for all of the previous model
releases that are still available. However, if enough of the user base, would
like to request this fix, we would consider it. So if you would like to see this
patch to CCM3.6.6 please send me an e-mail (directly to erik@ucar.edu not ccm-users)
stating that you would like this patch for CCM3.6.6. Also, if another user has
already resolved the problem for CCM3.6.6 and could kindly share it with the
ccm-users we would be grateful.

Thank you
