04.01 - Available Partitions
CGD users have a number of options for storing data. The primary locations are:
- /project directories - These directories are used for storing large data sets. Users simply need to contact the CGD/IS group to have a personal directory created in the partition.
- /home - Each user has a home directory. On the windows systems it's the H: drive, on linux systems it's the /home drive. These directories are typically used for storing users' documents, personal information, mail, etc. Although these directories are initialized as readable by all, to allow sharing, permissions can also be reset to make them private.
- /fs/cgd/csm, /fs/cgd/data0, /fs/cgd/home0 - These directories are primarily used on the cluster.
