02.04 - Networks

There are typically four networks that CGD users are concerned with:

  • Wired network at the Mesa Lab
  • Wireless network access across the institution
  • VPN network access
  • Guest network access

Wired Network

Only CGD owned and maintained systems are allowed on the wired network at the Mesa Lab. In other words, do not expect to put your personal laptop, or a laptop from another institution on the wired network.

Wireless Networks

Wireless access is available to both staff and guests, on CGD or personal devices.
