06.01 - Finding People

There are a few different methods for finding individuals at NCAR.

'call' command

The 'call' command will search for any string in the call database located on NCAR/CGD Linux systems.

Login to a NCAR/Linux system and type 'call' at the prompt:

    % call large
    Large, William 1364 ML-418 CGD CGD wily@ucar.edu

people db

The People Database contains information for regular staff as well has collaborators with accounts on NCAR systems. Use your UCAS password to login to:

    http://people.ucar.edu

Staff Directory
