CLM URBAN (CLMU) MODEL RESULTS

CLMU Global Offline Simulation Descriptions
  • urban_global_avg_p11 (urban_clm3_6_13 (so has newest atm forcing) FV1.9x2.5 urban, spatially explicit avg (AVG) parameters with phase 7 of dataset, uses 1% cutoff instead of 5% for urban areas and USES min/max building temperatures, 1948 arb init.)
  • urban_global_clm3_6_15 (Urban with science branch merged to trunk version clm3_6_15)
  • urban_global_clm3_6_15_v1 (same as urban_global_clm3_6_15 but with organic soil removed and wasteheat on at new efficiencies (25% AC, 75% HEAT))
  • urban_global_clm3_6_15_v2 (same as urban_global_clm3_6_15_v1 but uses new netcdf version of urban surface dataset with 0.1% threshold for urban and bare soil replaced preferentially by urban)
  • nourban_global_clm3_6_15_v2 (same as urban_global_clm3_6_15_v2 but with urban inactive)
  • urban_global_clm3_6_16_v1 (same as urban_global_clm3_6_15_v2 but with new treatment for wasteheat where wasteheat is put into all five canyon surfaces instead of canyon air)
  • urban_global_clm3_6_16_v2 (same as urban_global_clm3_6_16_v1 but with wasteheat put into canyon floor only (pervious and impervious), also accounting for heat removal by AC by putting into canyon floor)
