Dear ccm usear,
I hope to study the chemical-dynamic interaction of ozone by coupling
a box chemical model with ccm3.2. In every latitude and altitude (for
save time, make all longitude the same), I call the box chemical model,
and get the net chemical production term for ozone, then send it to
srcsnk(plond,plev,2) in typhsac.F and make ccm3.2 do the transportation.
From ccm3.2, I get new temp. and pres. and then input in chemical model
and do new calculation. The time steps in both model are 1200 seconds.
After I couple these two model, the CPU time just increase 30%.
But until now, I have two questions:
1. is this a good way to study the atmospheric chemistry? The altitude
level is not good for chemistry, espercially in stratosphere, and
the temperature output from ccm3.2 is not so good in polar
tropopause area, but I don't know if this is very important.
2. Only if I use one processer, does the chemical model work. It is
certainly that the peoblem comes from parallel processing.
I hope some ccm users, espercially some people who use it to study
atmospheric chemistry, can give me some suggestion, I am very grateful
for your quick reply.
Best wishes,
XiaoBiao FAN
