Probably the best solution would be to purchase the Portland Group compiler
since it has been tested and shown to produce correct answers on CCM3.6.
Otherwise, in order to run the CCM3.6 code as is, the Fortran compiler
must have 1) an auto-promotion flag for real*8 arithmetic, and 2) ability to
handle Cray pointers. I believe these are the only aspects of the code
which are not compliant with the f77 standard.
