  I followed up your suggestions and the
  definesurf worked .

  However I still have problems.

  How can I select just one month from the netcdf
  archive "sst-jan1978-sep1993.nc" ?

  I have read the netcdf manual, I used the ncdump to
  take the information about the sst.

  Should I write a program in CDL "language" to select
  a time variant set of sst, or there is any simpler
  other way ?
