Subject: LSM Temps

Hi,
I have been running the CCM model with initialization files which I created
with data from the NOGAPS model. I have set the Land Surface Model to
"arbitrary initialization." I noticed in the LSM initialization file
created that there is a TG1D variable which is the ground temp and TSOI1D
which is the soil temp. Now in the atmospheric initialization file there is
also a ground temp variable, TS1, as well as three soil temp variables, TS2,
TS3, & TS4. My question is does the Land Surface Model use my TS1, TS2,
TS3, & TS4 data to create the ground and soil temperatures in the LSM
initialization file or does the LSM generate its own data based on the time
of year and ignore my data.
