if it would be possible, I would regard it also as useful for me
(so: grateful for any hints).

I think however it is not possible easily.

Reason:

The output has "history format" which implies:

Each item (moisture, windspeed etc.) for each coordinate (lat,lon,
layer) ONCE, either the "true" value or the "true" value replaced by
some other such as "min", "max", "avg".

If however somebody thinks of a version with "two history files"
(maybe with an additional suffix)
for each written event, one for min, one for max, the work is
invested well (and not (too**20) much) but needs great care.

Such an approach ensures also compatibility with post-processing
routines as "the history format" remains as it is.
