No there is not. We have other ways of accomplishing the same goal...
CCM3.6.6 has the ability to create initial condition files on the fly.
See the users guide concerning this. The INITHIST option controls this feature,
and by default they are generated monthly.

Also the branch restart feature of the CCM provides the functionality to start a
simulation from previous restart files. Again see the on-line users-guide for
more information on this feature.
