Please accept my apologies for any wasted bandwidth. I would like
to run the ccm on a Cray J90 running Unicos. The input files
distributed with the CCM2 software are not in some other format
which i could not decode. Could someone tell me the correct
assign command or where to find the Unicos compatible data files.

Hi CCM2 users,
We here at Los Alamos have recently completed two 40-year simulations with NCAR
CCM2 at the T42 resolution. The simulations were driven by the COADS SST data
set from 1950 to 1989. The model is the one released from NCAR in November 1993
(i.e., Hack et al., 1994, JGR). Anyone who wants to make use of the data
generated from these two run or to collaborate with us is welcome.
Please use the following points as a guideline if you are interested:
(1) The model was run on the Cray-YMP
(2) The default fields listed in Table D.1 in "User's Guide to NCAR CCM2" are
stored as monthly means
(3) The data format is packed binary; so it would be better if you can access to
a Cray machine
(4) The total size of the data is about 40GB in the packed format
A manuscript about some model results by Kao et al. is being pressed by J.
Climate. If you are interested in receiving a preprint, let me know also.
