I know that a lot of folks are using the Portland Group
pgf90 compiler with the CCM. I just spent the better part
of a week trying to get the CCM release 3.10.11/3.6.6 physics
to run on some new hardware, and finally traced the problem
to a bug in the Linux version of the current compiler
(release 3.3-2).
I was about to submit a bug report when our sysadmin
pointed me to a note about the problem on the Portland Group
website at:
http://www.pgroup.com/faq_new_rel.htm#new_rel1a
The problem also exists in the Windows version of the compiler.
The problem affects the passing in/out of the abstot, absnxt
and emstot variables from radclw() to the radabs() and radems()
subroutines. There's a patch available at the website.
