Dear CCM users,

If anyone is interested in a UNIX based program to read and
process CCM history files let me know and I'll email
it to you. It's written in 'C' and therefore highly portable.
I distributed a version last year called 'xdata' and have
since added many features. It can be used to generate data
files for plotting or for calculating a variety of averages.

Some of it's capabilities are:

   zonal averages
   pressure weighted averages
   area weighted averages
   volume weighted averages
select atmospheric columns over land, ocean, or sea ice
select any single, contiguous section of the atmosphere
generate data files for 2D or 3D plots
   average over time records
plot as a function of lat, long, level, time
represent altitude in meters, mbars, or CCM levels
find the min and max in any selected atmos region

Best wishes!

Gery.
