Subject: aerosol effect(aermix.F)

Hi:
In CRM/CCM, the aerosols affect the model atmosphere through
initialization and algorithm in aermix.F. I did some numerical experiment with
it, but the result is confusing. With zero aerosol, I get good agreement with
other radiative transfer models, however, when I increase the uniform background
aerosol amount in the model atmosphere near surface, the atmospheric absorption
does not increase as significantly as in other models. Besides, the surface
downward shortwave flux does not change too much either. Is there anyone else
who has tried similar experiment and get a right one? Please let me know what's
going on.
