The NCAR Community Climate Model (CCM3)

The NCAR Community Climate Model (CCM3) is no longer supported, use the Community Atmosphere Model (CAM) for the latest model that includes limited support for use of the community.

Help with unix Patch

patch < ccm3_2_fix_patch

When I did the above I got the following output...

[339]1-mercury:/home/erik/ccm3 > gunzip ccm3.2_patch1.tar.gz
[340]1-mercury:/home/erik/ccm3 > tar xvf ccm3.2_patch1.tar
x ccm3.2_patch1, 8783 bytes, 18 tape blocks
[341]1-mercury:/home/erik/ccm3 > patch

Later it asked me which file to patch for files in subdirectories. It actually tells you which file to use under the index. So for example...

|Index: lsm/lsmini.F
|===================================================================
|RCS file: /fs/cgd/csm/models/CVS.REPOS/lnd/lsm/lsmini.F,v
|retrieving revision 1.1.1.1
|retrieving revision 1.1.1.1.4.1
|diff -c -r1.1.1.1 -r1.1.1.1.4.1
|*** lsmini.F 1996/05/21 17:47:34 1.1.1.1
|--- lsmini.F 1998/01/30 18:51:26 1.1.1.1.4.1
--------------------------
File to patch:
The proper answer is just "lsm/lsmini.F".

Remember CCM3 is now unsupported, use CAM for the latest Atmospheric Model for use of climate science.
